p 269-284 Summary
Humans encounter arguments every day. We are not always aware that we are making an argument though. We also have to be very cautious when we do make one, because not everyone might not interpret it the same way that we do. Some arguments might even effect your future, so think carefully. You have to always looks at who the argument is coming from, one source might not be as educated as the other. How do you want to appear in your argument? What's at stake? Those are both questions you have to consider when making a public argument. You always have to state your claim, usually in your thesis. So when writing an argument paper you have to remember to consider all of these things. Some might be more easy and obvious than others. But remember that arguments are in everyday life and so naturally, you are a pro at it.
