THINK ABOUT YOUR WRITING p 70
Over the last week I took time to send a letter to Jefferson County. I expressed my anger and concern about how we need a street light when turning onto my road. A few people have been killed at this intersection and there is still not a turn lane, so I figured a street light would be just as fine. When turning onto my road you have to stop in the middle of the highway when people are going 60 mph and then turn onto the main road that I live on. So usually people get mad and honk or give you the middle finger, just because you had to stop to turn on to your road. The reason I want a street light is because at night it is worse. I try not to take that route home at night but sometimes it is quicker. It is very dangerous though at night. You can't turn your brights on to take a better look because there is always someone coming around the corner in the other lane, so you can't blind them. So in the end you have to be super slow and cautious and then you won't miss the turn. Overall, having a street light would be a lot safer for the few hundred people who live on my road.
